As Pebble announced on Friday via Twitter and confirmed again this morning, the smartwatch pioneer will launch today its long awaited appstore. Going live today at 10am PT, iOS users will get the update first while Android users have to wait a little bit longer. Nevertheless, Pebble also said it will make a Beta APK available to developers on Monday as well. Until now, Pebble users had to discover and download apps and watchfaces through several awesome third party resources like
MyPebbleFaces. The Pebble appstore changes all this by providing a simple one-stop-shopping solution to discover, manage and install apps and watchfaces. The appstore features separate areas for apps and watchfaces, with six app categories.

This includes Daily, Tools & Utilities, Notifications, Remotes, Fitness, and Games and is expected to make it even easier than ever to find the next useful app. On top of being just a typical appstore, Pebble also plans to actively curating the appstore to bring the best apps and watchfaces every day.

No word yet if the appstore will also feature the partner-apps like Foursquare, Yelp, ESPN, etc. as showcased earlier but it's likely that some of these apps will be available with the launch.

Pebble just confirmed that its appstore will feature a most of latest partner apps like Foursquare, Yelp and others with more to follow soon.

Cheers ~ Arne
