I've
just received some good news from HTC. While the general feedback about
TouchFLO 3D was
very positive, most of you might have noticed, especially in the videos
available on the::unwired and the Internet, that here and there TouchFLO 3D
wasn't as responsive as it was expected to be. TouchFLO 3D is a brand-new HTC
product and it's not just a Today screen plug-in but it's HTC's new GUI
philosophy which is a central key for HTC's upcoming Windows Mobile devices.
Nevertheless, TouchFLO 3D, on an
HTC Touch
Diamond (which is the first smartphone which carries TouchFLO 3D) wasn't -
performance-wise - what most of us expected and HTC is fully aware of this and
was heavily improving the performance during the past days and weeks.

Therefore, HTC confirmed today that the European HTC Touch Diamond, which
went on sale officially just recently, is running a much improved TouchFLO 3D
version which is speedier, snappier and more responsive. While I haven't seen an
updated HTC Touch Diamond yet, today I had the chance to test an upcoming O2 Xda
diamond which was said to carry the latest TouchFLO 3D improvements as well and
I can definitely confirm that this device was way faster and snappier after the
ROM update then it was before.
Cheers ~ Arne
