With the Football World Cup in Germany around the corner (and yes, I'm still excited even if I haven't had the chance to get a single ticket for the Munich Football Stadium aka Allianz Arena), Envi.con and Resco have teamed up and recently released "World Cup Mobile" for handhelds and smartphones.
"World Cup Mobile" offers up to the minute match results, standings, and news 24 hours a day. Football fans can view current team rosters, game occurrences, spectator numbers, penalty cards, goals scored, and more via online update. A detailed game description will also follow each match.
"World Cup Mobile" additionally contains historical information about all 32 participating teams, descriptions and photos of each game location, a schedule of matches, and World Cup statistics since 1930. The update function delivers the latest World Cup news and headlines prior to and during the World Cup this summer. "World Cup Mobile" is now available Windows Mobile Pocket PCs (only, Smartphones aren't supported), Palm OS devices and Symbian Series 60 smartphones (i.e. N series, 6600, 6680, etc.). The full version costs 14.95 Euros. A demo version with limited functionality is also available for download.
Cheers ~ Arne
