Following GooSync's previous public Beta, Toffa has now launched the final (and still free) service of GooSync, which synchronizes a users Google calendar to their mobile device.
The GooSync service is based on the Toffa commercial synchronization engine, SyncWiseLive, which supports industry open standards (SyncML). Therefore GooSync is compliant with all of the latest mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs). Any user with a free Google calendar account can now use GooSync to wirelessly (OTA) synchronize their appointments and events to their mobile device.

GooSync extends the qualities and strengths of the Google calendar to the mobile community. Going beyond the traditional restrictions of web browser or desktop access, GooSync puts the user's calendar data in the Palm of their hand. Bi-directional synchronization also means additions or changes made on the mobile phone or PDA are also backed up and displayed in the Google calendar.

Toffa International's Managing Director Chris Jukes, stated, "As a leading mobile synchronization specialist we not only feel that the GooSync service is a vital tool for Google calendar users, we also feel that it is important that this kind of service is free. We are moving ever closer to an always on, always connected community and we aim to be at the forefront of that".

Beside supporting a wide range of other mobile phone platforms, GooSync also supports Windows Mobile Pocket PCs (2002 or better). To get GooSync working with your Windows Mobile, you will need to install a SyncML client onto your device which can be obtained from GooSync as well.
