Beats Electronics, one of the leading audio brands and maybe best known for its headsets with the red cable, today announced its new and upcoming music service and the appointment of Ian Rogers as CEO. Rogers will oversee the direction, vision and strategy for project "Daisy" and the talented team developing the service. It was long time rumored that Beats has plans for its own music service, especially after it acquired MOG, a streaming music service Beats took over back in 2012. The new service will benefit from the creative vision of music icon and newly appointed Chief Creative Officer Trent Reznor and is set to launch in late 2013 as a stand-alone company under the Beats Electronics umbrella.
While it will take until early next year until Beats opens the doors for its music service, interested users can already claim their user names they will be able to use Beats Music with. Beats has today not given any further details, like prices or availability.
Cheers ~ Arne
