Back
in February, the WiFi Alliance
spilled the beans that Samsung is working on a new Windows Mobile 6.1
smartphone which the WiFi alliance called "Cubic37/GT-i8000". Now, the GCF
followed with some further details. While the WiFi Alliance already
confirmed WiFi b/g compatibility, the GCF unveiled that Samsung's next (most
likely) Windows Mobile smartphone also supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE at
850/900/1800/1900 MHz as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 1800/1900/2100 MHz
plus MMS and video telephony:

No further information given yet but maybe this is Samsung's next Omnia
smartphone after the Korean handset maker confirmed that the Omnia brand will
exclusively used for Windows Mobile smartphones.
