Inventec's latest Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition, which just received
the FCC approval, isn't cute at all but it seems to be smart. At least it's
sporting a feature-set I haven't seen so far: an inbuilt bar code/QR code
scanner and a slide out thumb keyboard in one device. Therefore I expect we will
see this device in vertical markets only, and not being released for consumers.
Other highlights of the device are Windows Mobile 5 for Pocket PC Phone Edition
and it seems to support either triband (850/900/1900 MHz) or quadband GSM/GPRS
(while the FCC documents only mention 850, 900 and 1900 MHz), WiFi (b/g) and
Bluetooth. Nevertheless it lacks a camera (which makes it a business device even
