Just because we have not recently heard anything from Samsung in terms of Windows Phone doesn't mean that Microsoft's mobile OS is dead for Samsung. And while Samsung's official sources haven't mentioned the Samsung Omnia M yet, Samsung's own blog spilled the beans about the company's next Windows Phone. The Samsung Omnia M/GT-I8350 runs o Windows Phone 7.5 and is powered by a 1 GHz ARM CPU. It's said to support HSDPA, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and aGPS. It comes with a 4" Super AMOLED display and features a 5 megapixel autofocus main camera and a front facing VGA camera for video telephony. The device has 4 GB of flash memory and 384 MB of RAM, which makes it pretty much an entry level Windows Phone only.

At a size of 121.6 x 64.1 x 10.5 mm, the Omnia M weights 119 g, including the 1,500 mAh Li-ion battery.

Samsung describes the Omnia M to have a minimalist, compact design which features an ergonomic contoured casing that ensures the device sits comfortably in your hand.

For sure and as the screenshot above indicates, the Omnia M comes with Samsung's ChatON communication service which allows group chatting and messaging - whether with text, animations or images. Furthermore it features Samsung AllShare which allows to play films, games or any other media direct from the Omnia M to a TV and it comes with a Samsung Music Hub which offers a Smart DJ feature which automatically generates playlists to suit the users mood.

While no release date was give, Samsung Official Global Blog unveiled that the Omnia M will be available starting in Europe and rolled out to other regions later. Like the release date, the price is also completely unknown.

Cheers ~ Arne
