While the HTC Desire C is yet not officially announced by HTC, Vodafone Portugal successfully spilled the beans and confirmed that there will be something beside to the HTC One series. According to the leaked photo and specs, which made it to the carriers latest shop catalog, the Desire C seems to be the successor of the HTC Wildfire S while sharing the HTC One design DNA. Running on Android 4.0 with the lower spec'd HTC Sense 4 version, as used for the One V, the Desire C is said to be powered by an ARM Cortex CPU at 600 MHz. According to Vodafone Portugal's catalog, it supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as UMTS/HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, aGPS and comes with an FM radio.

Quite typical for such a kind of entry-level Android phone is the 3.5" HVGA touchscreen and the 5 megapixel camera, which comes without a supporting flash LED, is nothing special. Also the inbuilt memory of only 4 GB, which is hopefully expandable, is nothing exciting.

At a size of 107.2 x 60 x 11.9 mm, the Desire C is said to weight 98 g only which isn't too bad at all. While the shop magazine hasn't given a price yet but only listing it as "em breve" (which is Portuguese for soon), it can't take too long anymore to be finally launched.

Cheers ~ Arne
