UPDATE: Conduits Pocket Slides now at version 1.8

Conduits has recently announced that their slide presentation software, Pocket Slides for Pocket PC and Handheld PC, has been updated to version 1.8.

Included in this update is better support for Windows Mobile 2003 and the inclusion of language packs adding seven global langages. Pocket Slides now boasts of better Unicode support, broader support for VGA hardware, and vasious updated product features.

With Pocket Slides 1.8, desktop conversion has also been improved, including: several internal optimizations, leading to fewer conversion errors. Windows Mobile 2003 compatibility has also been improved and fixes some minor graphical problems.

Pocket Slides 1.8 now includes full product usage in seven global languages, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. Full Unicode support is now available for presentation files. Earlier versions were not able to open Asian-language presentations properly.

New for 1.8 is broader support for VGA hardware, such as the Toshiba e755 VGA Expansion Pack, the Colorgraphic Voyager Remote Control, and the new Toshiba e800 Pocket PC. Also included is a VGA Plugin system whereby Conduits or a third party can integrate their own VGA subsystem into the Pocket Slides presentation engine and interface.

Pocket Slides is available from PocketGear for $39.95. Pocket Slides 1.8 is also available for evaluation for 30 days and can be downloaded from Conduits.
