John Psuik of Developer One
just informed me about their latest Power Tasks for Smartphone update which is available as a Beta now.
According to John, the most common request for both Power Calendar and Power Tasks has now been addressed and that is a greatly
improved way to quickly select contacts when inserting contact names/numbers into task subjects!
Power Tasks v1.9 beta now features the same type of contact navigation built-in to the Smartphone where you may now easily use the numeric keypad to
spell out a name and instantly locate matching contacts and select them (Microsoft calls it smart-dial) for inserting into a task. Perfect for those
with long contact lists!

Other improvements to the contacts picker are faster loading when SIM card contacts are included in the contact picker as well as an option in the main
options screen now to enable SIM card contacts in the contact list. Navigating to Power Calendar from Power Tasks (and vice versa) is now supported by pressing
the "7" key from the main screen in either application.
Please note that the current available beta is an unsigned application package. If your device only allows installation of signed applications, this
may not install (but will be available in a signed version for the final release).
If installing over v1.6 or earlier, some of the settings may be lost with the re-install process, however carrying forward, all settings should be preserved
from this version to any future version.
If you have a registration code for any v1.x release of Power Tasks, this will also work and be automatically recognized when you install this beta.
On another note, Developer One is also completing the integration of the feature above and new enhanced views into Power Calendar right now.
Cheers ~ Arne
