Late last night, Google has announced that it has started the Android 2.2/Froyo roll-out for its Nexus One smartphone. According to a the Nexusu One News and Updates site, Nexus One users will now begin to receive the Android 2.2 OTA (over the air) software update on their phones. As most of you already know, Android 2.2 provides some great new features including support for making your handset a portable hotspot and support for Adobe Flash 10.1 within the browser. In order to access the update, users will receive a message on the phone's notification bar. From there, the update can be immediately downloaded (a WiFi connection is recommended) and installed.

As Google notices, the Android 2.2/Froyo update will be rolled-out gradually to phones - and most users will receive the notification by the end of the week .
Cheers ~ Arne
