If you are a Pebble smartwatch owner, you should receive this update automatically, if not it might be interesting for you to know that Pebble has released another PebbleOS firmware update which brings some neat and useful enhancements. PebbleOS v1.14 is now featuring a a "Do Not Disturb" function which blocks notifications for a set period of time. That's indeed handy because so far you had to activate the Airplane Mode, for instance if you was taking a nap on weekends. And while we are talking about a nap, the alarms app also received an update which now allows to create multiple Alarms, toggle alarms on/off and edit existing alarms. Also new the the snooze alarm function which is customizable via the Pebble Alarms app.
Other improvements include the notification control which now allows to specify what notifications are displayed like notifications on, phone calls only or notifications off) and an overall improved iOS performance. Notifications are now sent more quickly from a connected iOS device to Pebble watch. After exiting Airplane Mode, Pebble will now search for connectable iOS devices immediately, instead of waiting one minute.
The firmware update also comes with a couple of bug fixes which include a fix for an issue where Pebble may enter "Recovery Mode" immediately after updating to 1.13 firmware, a fix for an issue affecting some iOS Pebblers experiencing dropped Bluetooth connections, a few seconds after connecting, a fix for an issue where Caller ID data would not display on Pebble after receiving a missed call, fixed Bluetooth data transfer reliability issues, particularly during a firmware update and a fixed an issue where the Pebble would sometimes keep vibrating after dismissing or answering a phone call.
To update your Pebble, simply open the Pebble iOS or Android app to begin the process; that's it. The update itself shouldn't take longer than a minute or two.
Cheers ~ Arne
