Rolled-out initially in Europe, Samsung Singapore confirmed in a statement, that the long awaited Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for the Samsung SGH-i600 is finally coming to South-East Asia as well.
Starting in Singapore, i600 Singaporean customers can can bring their smartphones to the Samsung service center at "Plaza Singapura" for a free software upgrade from October 13. So Singaporean i600 customers cannot perform the upgrade on their own as European customers can do (if available for your country).

Samsung also revealed that new units of the SGH-i600 are shipping with Windows Mobile 6 preinstalled from October 13. Last but not least Samsung confirmed that the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade will be rolled out across South-East Asia from October 13 till the end of the year, so please ask your local Samsung support for availability.

Good news for South-East Asian i600 users; now I wonder where the i600 upgrades are for the rest of the European users as well as where the i607/BlackJack upgrade for Americans is?

Have you as a webmaster contacted Samsung, AT&T or their respective PR agencies to ask them the question you pose about where is the Mobile 6 for the Blackjack?  Yeah, I know they often will tell you nothing, my question is now, at this point in time, have you asked them, and asked them what issues they are dealing with that have contributed to the timing of rolling it out?

Yes I did but never received a response. Maybe because I'm located in Europe, not in "AT&T land"?

I went and got my mobile software upgraded. my phone was tuned around in four hours. not too bad.
