One of my favorite developer - MTUX, the guys behind SideX - recently released two new utilities for Microsoft's Windows Powered Pocket PC 2002 and Pocket PC Phone Edition: MTUX Password for Pocket PC 2002 and RingToneX for Pocket PC Phone Edition:

RingToneX 1.0 provides a set different ringtone and allows easy to assign ringtones; simply tap name and choose ringtone.

  • Change Ringtone for each person in Contacts.

  • Change Ringtone by category.

  • Change Ringtone by phone number.

MTUX Password 1.0 provides an enhance password screen, display analog clock and calendar, includes a picture viewer, Windows XP style "Turn Off" screen and displays your Owner Info

MTUX's utilities are always nice and useful enhancements for the Pocket PC platform. Easy to use and gives you a real value. RingToneX is for sure an interesting application for everybody who miss the dedicated contacts ringtones he used to have from his cell phone while Password add some more value to the normally boring and useless password screen.

MTUX Password is available for US$4.99 while RingToneX costs US$6.99. Both applications are available as trial version too!

Cheers ~ Arne
