TouchFLO 3D, HTC's new Today screen replacement for the HTC Touch Diamond (and the upcoming HTC Touch Pro) is quite handy and useful for most users. However, everybody has different needs and therefore a customization is always appreciated. Unfortunately, HTC has left all customization options except that you can change the background image of the main screen (only). However, a member of the German Windows Mobile Forum "PPC-Welt Community" has now released a free utility called "Diamond TF3D Config" which adds some more customization options to the HTC Touch Diamond by allowing a user to rearrange the TouchFLO 3D tabs.

For instance HTC sorted it - on its own Touch Diamond - as Home, People, Messages, Mail, Internet, Photos and Videos, Music, Weather, Settings and Programs (carriers might have chosen a different order). This means that only Home, People, Messages, Mail and Internet are available straight on the first sight while Photos and Videos, Music, Weather, Settings and Programs are available after scrolling only.

With Diamond TF3D Config this sorting can be changed to whatever is useful and the latest version even allows to hide unused tabs:

Last but not least Diamond TF3D Config allows to change the date appearance on top of the Home screen and includes, at the moment, German and English presets.

Diamond TF3D Config was designed for German O2 Xda diamonds but works with an English HTC Touch Diamond as well. Nevertheless, before you want to test it, it's recommended to make a device backup first. TF3D can be downloaded free of charge from the German PPC-Welt Community.

UPDATE: To avoid registration at a German Forum (PPCW-Welt Community is highly recommended for German users but hard to read for foreign users), "sushilange", the developer of Diamond TF3D Config has allowed us host the latest version for direct download from the::unwired. While I will try to keep the available version as up to date as possible, you will always get the latest version, including changelog, from the PPC-Welt Community link bellow.

UPDATE 09.07.08: V0.4 was just released which now includes a preset of HTC Touch Diamond tweaks as well as it is now possible to unlock the Programs shortcut to delete predefined programs from the list (only used in carrier versions of the HTC Touch Diamond).
