Ringo has long been the best selling ringtone manager for Palm's Treo-brand smartphones, where it has proved popular for the ease with which users can customize their phones with personal ringtones and SMS tones. The new Ringo Mobile brings these features to the Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition platform and is available for devices running Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2003 SE Pocket PC Phone Editions. Supported devices include the iMate JasJar and HP iPAQ Mobile Messenger series.
Ringo Mobile enables users to easily assign MP3, WMA or WAV format ringtones to every incoming call they receive on their Pocket PC Phone Edition. Ringtones can be assigned to individual callers or to groups of callers - such as business, family or friends. Setting a sound clip as a ringtone is as simple as copying it to their Pocket PC Phone Edition and linking it to individuals or groups in Ringo. Ringo Mobile also allows users to set custom tones for incoming SMS messages from individuals and groups.
Users of Ringo can have fun setting lively tones for friends and gloomy tunes for their bosses or mothers-in-law.
"Ringo Mobile enables Pocket PC Phone Edition users to add their own personal flair to every call, providing them with the ability to use their favorite music as ringtones and associate tunes with specific individuals or groups of callers," said Iain Barclay, Electric Pocket's Chief Product Officer. "Being able to identify callers with music or sound clips of your choice makes Ringo Mobile both a practical and fun add-on for a Pocket PC Phone Edition."
Ringo Mobile is available from Electric Pocket's web site for US$ 14.95 and also offered as a 7 days trial version
