Teksoft today announced the release of Teksoft BlueMouse - a brand-new utility which allows you to use your Bluetooth mouse with your Windows Mobile Pocket PC.
While Windows Mobile 5 (and above) includes Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) drivers for Bluetooth keyboard, its not including the HID profile to use mice with Windows Mobile devices as well. While some available Bluetooth mice includes Pocket PC compatible drivers, most mice doesn't. That's the point where Teksoft's BlueMouse comes into the game.

Featuring universal HID support, BlueMouse works with any standard Bluetooth Mouse and battery consumption is optimized as much as possible since BlueMouse has power saving features. It is highly configurable so you can customize your cursor or mouse actions. Teksoft provides a list of over 17 custom actions for your mouse. With a click you can open a program, open an applet, switch to another task, close the current task or even scroll up or down your documents while reading!

Small footprint is a must for drivers and therefore BlueMouse makes no exception using a tiny amount of memory and CPU only. For gamers BlueMouse makes it really enjoyable being GAPI compatible and therefore you can play Pocket PC games using your Bluetooth mouse.

BlueMouse is available as an unlimited trial, however the trial mode is limited to 80 % of the devices' screen only. The full version costs US$ 20.95. BlueMouse is compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6 Pocket PCs with Microsoft's Bluetooth stack; other Bluetooth stacks aren't supported at the moment.

Cheers ~ Arne
