V2R - Vision to Reality - recently released Countdown2Event (C2E) which is the ultimate tool for alerts and scheduling for all kind of applications. C2E always shows you the remaining time to your next event on the Today screen. C2E even allows you to start an application on a predefined time and Date, e. g. you can start your favorite MP3 song or your favorite movie on a selected date and time. C2E also allows you to change your Today Theme on pre-selected dates or you can just used it as an alarm clock or meeting reminder.

Features:

  • Today plug in shows the remaining time for the next event
  • Supports multiple events
  • Adds timer functionality to your device
  • Can be used as alarm clock
  • Countdown watch
  • Automatically starts applications
  • Reminder function
  • Event list view
  • Sound support
  • Predefined events

Because I'm currently working on a 3G project for the CeBIT (delivery date this Friday), this tool always reminds me how long to go for it... Even if it hurts to see (especially if you are under time pressure) it gives me and my colleagues a great reminder! But next countdown will be my flight to Redmond which will be much more fun. ;-)

Countdown2Event supports Pocket PC 2002 and 2003 and is available from PocketGear for US$ 6.95 but also includes a trial version.

Cheers ~ Arne
