Not
yet released but soon available, this videoview shows you the hardware
highlights of the upcoming
HTC Touch Pro
Windows Mobile Professional smartphone, previously known as
HTC Raphael.
The HTC Touch Pro is the perfect extension to HTC's earlier released HTC Touch
Diamond and basically, both devices features the same specifications except that
the Touch Pro will have a slide-out keyboard but lacks the 4 GB inbuilt flash
memory. However, both devices run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and the
HTC Touch Pro also supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE but also dualband
UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (900/2100 MHz) up to 7.2 Mbps for HSDPA and 2 Mbps for HSUPA.
Other features include Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi b/g, an inbuilt GPS receiver as
well as an FM radio.
Except the thickness, which comes from the slide-out keyboard as well as a
thicker (and therefore more powerful) battery, the HTC Touch Pro and HTC Touch
Diamond look quite similar while the HTC Touch Pro has rounder corners. Other
then that, the HTC Touch Pro has the same navigation panel bellow the screen as
well as features the same VGA camera on the front:
Slightly different is the backside. While the HTC Touch Pro will features the
same diamond shaped battery cover, it's now more a kind of soft-touch finishing,
unlike the HTC Touch Diamonds glossy black battery cover. And while both devices
have the same 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, the HTC Touch Pro has a supporting
photo light which is a white LED. Last but not least, the HTC Touch Pro will
come with 288 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM but will not feature an additional
flash memory. Therefore the HTC Touch Pro memory can be expanded with microSD
memory cards.
