The LG Optimus 7 is LG's first smartphone, running Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 platform. It's powered by a Qualcomm QSD8650 Snapdragon CPU at 1 GHz and supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA (7.2 Mbps)/HSUPA (5.7 Mbps) at 900/1900/2100 MHz which allows the use of the device in North America. Furthermore, the Optimus 7 features Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi b/g/n, an FM radio as well as an aGPS receiver, a digital compass and a couple of sensors. The WVGA capacitive LCD touchscreen measures 3.8" and the autofocus camera on the back supports 5 megapixel, comes with a LED flash and allows HD video recording at 720p.

The Optimus 7 comes with a total internal memory of 16 GB and Windows Phone 7-typical, this memory isn't user accessible and/or upgradeable. Furthermore, the device comes with a removable 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, yet the most powerful battery used on a Windows Phone 7 smartphone and at a size of 125 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm, the device weights 158 g. Made of high-quality plastic and metal, the device feels rocking solid and the curved design makes the Optimus 7 looking smaller than it actually is while the design also contributes to the fact that the device can be nicely hold.

The LG Optimus 7 is now available across Europe and Asia as announced by Microsoft.

Cheers ~ Arne

Hi Arne, nice to see some more videoviews! I'd love for you to do a videoview of Windows 7 overall, so just the software. Thanks!
