Today
I'm finally going to unbox the new
Palm Treo 500v,
Palm announced three weeks ago and
which I've received late last week already. But due to some other press
events and bank holiday in Germany, I hadn't found the time to unbox it before. Anyway, Palm's new
Treo, which is exclusively on sale from Vodafone, is quite an interesting device
because it's Palm's first Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone which means it
misses a touch screen but it's a "regular" phone with a QWERTY (in this case
QWERTZ) keyboard, featuring triband GSM and singleband UMTS. It neither features
HSDPA nor does it supports all North American GSM and UMTS frequencies which is
quite unusual for a U.S.-American product:
Coming next, the full review of the device.
Cheers ~ Arne
