Have you ever heard of UBiQUiO? Me neither but maybe the company is worth to watch. At least their latest ultra slim Pocket PC Phone Edition with QWERTY keyboard, the UBiQUiO 501, is an interesting devices for all non-Smartphone users since it also features the traditional Pocket PC input through the 2.5" QVGA touch screen, allowing stylus control of menus and programs.
The UBiQUiO 501 has a host of connectivity options to choose from. Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP, it either connects to the internet using WiFi 802.11b or 802.11g or via GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz networks (sorry - no EDGE or GSM 850 MHz).
The 2 megapixel camera should provides a crisp and colorful imaging and the the 64 MB internal storage is extendable through miniSD cards:

Expansys is already listing the UBiQUiO 501 for £319.95 but since I've never heard of them before, I'm still curious if it will be seriously released or just another Windows Mobile devices which hides after the announcement. Nevertheless, all together the device as well as its features are looking promising enough to hope it will be released!
By the way - according to PDA France it seems that this device has been produced by TFW (Tech Faith Wireless) which is also rumored to manufacture the Samsung SGH-i320.

UPDATE: My fault - I've completely overseen that we have talked about the device earlier already and indeed it is from Tech Faith Wireless, as the photos here confirm.

Cheers ~ Arne

I think it is very interesting pocket pc.

See test : www.pocketpc.hk

I ordered one by expansys.

For me i just need 2mp camera, keyboard, and small phone.

It s personal, i don t need UMTS, EDGE, ...

Can somebody tell me if the screen is square like HP 6515 ? or 'normal'.

Ciao

Great link, good finding - thanks!
Except UMTS (which I would like to have because I do a lot of online work from my Windows Mobiles which I also use as UMTS modem for my Notebook I agree with you).

What do you mean with "normal"? It's QVGA 320x240 landscape, not portrait as mostly used by Pocket PCs.
Please let us know if you have received your device from Expansys or an information about the shipping status. Thanks

In fact, UBiQUiO == Expansys. Once upon a time, there was an American provider named UBiQUiO. It has been bought by Mobile Planet, that itself later has been overtaken by Expansys. So now Expansys sells i.e. Gigabyte devices wearing the name of an American provider, that doesn't exist since three years ago. I think, that's kinda ill....
info by google....
