During this weeks Internationale Funkausstellung/IFA (the international consumer electronics fair) in Berlin, T-Mobile Germany previewed on its own stand the first time it's own (yet unbranded) version of the HTC Artemis which T-Mobile will call T-Mobile MDA compact III.
You remember, the HTC Artemis is a Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition with quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Bluetooth and it's HTC's first Pocket PC Phone Edition which is also sporting an inbuilt GPS receiver. In addition it has a 2 megapixel camera and the T-Mobile version is indeed powered by a 200 MHz TI OMAP CPU (only).
Interesting enough - even if the original reference design is sporting Wi-Fi - no word about W-LAN from T-Mobile (yet).
Unfortunately, I hadn't have the time to visit the IFA this year, but a user over at the German PPCW-Welt Community forum has posted a couple of photos of the compact III.

T-Mobile hasn't given a release date yet nor has announced a price. But from what we've heard earlier, the HTC Artemis seems to become available during this fall and therefore a release before Christmas is most likely.

Cheers ~ Arne
