Leaked before already, yesterday,
during the CTIA Wireless IT 2006, i-mate officially announced its latest Windows
Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition and i-mate's first non-HTC Pocket PC Phone
Edition - the i-mate JAQ.
The i-mate JAQ is a quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE device, also supporting Bluetooth,
that is powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC and - as seen
before - it's sporting a QWERTY thumb keyboard, features 128 MB ROM and 64 MB
RAM which can be extended with miniSD memory cards and includes 65k 2.8" color
touch screen. Unfortunately, i-mate has left W-LAN, even if Inventec's original
Mercury reference design included it, which might makes the device less
interesting for business users. Also the design might be - discussable:

Availability can be expected during this year; however, i-mate hasn't given any
prices yet.
Cheers ~ Arne
