According
to
MoDaCo, with Orange's launch of the HTC Touch, Orange also decided to
discontinue the "SPV" brand in favor to continue with the HTC brand from now on.
Well, it's a pity that the SPV brand faded away so silent, was SPV for the
Windows Mobile Smartphone what Xda was (and still is) for the Windows Mobile
Pocket PC Phone Edition: the first of its kind.
From now, Orange Windows Mobile devices will get HTC and not Orange anymore.
While this fits perfectly into HTC's new brand decision it makes me kind of
wonder that a carrier gives up its established brand. It's not yet known if
future devices will be co-branded.

So it looks like O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone are the last to continue with its own brands (Xda, MDA, VPA/VDA), but for how long?
