Should an i-mate Ultimate series launch be close? During CommunicAsia 2007, Dubai-based i-mate announced their plans to offer its Windows Mobile-based range of Ultimate smartphones and highly innovative solutions to customers throughout Asia. According to i-mate, Singapore will be the base through which i-mate will spearhead their launch into key territories across Asia over the coming months. The highly acclaimed Ultimate range from i-mate, which was first time previewed during the 3GSM World Congress back in February, will be on offer to customers throughout the region from September 2007. Catering to the differing requirements of customers, a variety of form factors will be available to choose from with the Windows Mobile 6 Professional Ultimate 6150 and Ultimate 8150 expected to lead the launch.

"We plan to offer so much more than just Windows Mobile based products of
exceptional quality. Our ability to customise our devices to suit the needs
of individual customers, combined with our innovative software solutions and
extensive support delivers an unrivalled total proposition to our
customers," said Jim Morrison, CEO, i-mate.
Designed in house by i-mate's leading team of software engineers, i-mate
Suite is a remote device management tool that allows you to remotely configure,
trouble shoot or change the settings on any Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6 device. Now
you can remotely lock down your mobile device, or wipe your personal data if
your mobile is ever lost/stolen. This includes any information on your SD card.
Likewise, updates and revised settings can be remotely sent to any Windows
Mobile 5.0 or 6 powered device, keeping mobile workforces highly productive.
i-mate has neither commented further launches in other parts of the world nor
has given prices yet. Let's see if they can keep the their timeframe.
