Yesterday I was joining a superb HP presentation about the new HP iPAQ H3900 and what else we will see in near future. The new HP iPAQ H3900 will be announced official tomorrow indeed but anyway - I got at least all facts together now. Beside this, Compaq will also launch a new web site/customer program called "iPAQ Software Choice Program"

Did they announce any information about the 928 WDA, and where that was going?
Are they bringing this to the states, or something like this, or are we supposed to just use the expansion pack for the time being??

"This is a step into a new class of display technology for Pocket PCs which isn't used today by anyone else"
Well, the Fujitsu-Siemens Loox is going to have a transflective TFT screen so it will be used by others... and maybe even before the iPaq if it is not released before the F-S Loox.

They have announced a price, and indicated that it will be in the stores (at least US) this week. Go To: http://www.compaq.com/products/handheld … index.html
for the info..., also there are articles on msn and cnet that have similar details.

Interesting question....on the pictures, they continue to show the Compaq logo. I thought this was going to be rebranded as a HP iPAq. With a Compaq logo, it does not look like an HP. Are they still going to change the form factor from the current photos?

I just pre-ordered the new Ipaq 3970. We all know about the bad bad batteries of the past Ipaqs.
Does this model have a REMOVEABLE battery? I read somewhere that it did but the compaq site only talks about performance not removeability.......

@Darryl: No, the H3900 is the same design like before the H3800. Therefore there is still no removable battery available.

I too, pre-ordered my iPaq 3970 with PC Card Sleve Plus. My question to anyone, is will the new Serria Wireless AirCard 555 (cdma 1x) work in with the iPaq? Gunson
