Kill me but the original Omnia looked better! What's wrong with Samsung? The Omnia II, Jet and Galaxy all look the same? Not bad but also not as good as the previous devices. Samsung can do it better! But the specs are fantastic, that's out of question!

Hi Arne

Can you verify all of these specs ?
The Samsung mobile site was selective across the 3 devices about the specs they gave - eg for the Pro they showed 800Mhz and TV-Out ... for the Omnia II they didn't ... All the references I've seen to date suggested the II had both of these but I believe it is all assumptions. Samsung themselves have refused to respond either way ... I've tried directly.

Do you have definitive specs re CPU speed or are yours assumptions as well ?

Given they Pro is using the new variant of the same processor running at 800Mhz and we know that CPU speed is needed for the 720x480 video recording and Touch Wiz ... it would seem odd if they offered a clocked down version of the same CPU for the Omnia II.

We also don't have absolute confirmation re RAM capacity.

Paul.

@pgamble: That's the info I received but please keep in mind that this info is yet not 100 % confirmed. Nevertheless, the used CPU is indeed a Sasmsung ARM1176 S3C6410 as the About screen confirms.
Regarding RAM and ROM the device lists 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM (plus the extra storage).
