Earlier November, Palm released its webOS 1.3.1 update for the North American Palm Pre's and today, Palm finally released the overdone ROM update for the recently launched European GSM Palm Pre as well which initially shipped with webOS 1.1.3 only. The new webOS version comes with a couple feature improvements while iTunes-support seems to be gone forever now. Also it's said that webOS 1.3.1 will not bring any great speed boosts, other features like support for LinkedIn and Yahoo!, which now appears as a calendar/contacts/IM account (like Google and Facebook) might be interesting and worth the upgrade anyway.

I don't hear a lot about the Palm Pre anymore. These updates seem to be very helpful. I really wonder if the Pre has become a sales success.
I haven't read a lot of reviews about it but to me it seems like a very handy phone.

I agree with Ludwig that not much has been heard about the Palm Pre recently.  Frankly, I think it is because Sprint (the exclusive carrier for the Palm Pre and the recently released Palm Pixi) is handling more balls in the air than it can handle, what with the quickly eroding subscriber base for Sprint which (I would well imagine) is eroding their financial bottom line also.

I am awaiting a United States model for a GSM phone (I am on T-mobile, while Sprint is CDMA) and I will snap up a Palm Pre, whioh has been going down in price on Amazon, etc.
