Yesterday we learned from Samsung that it's not planning to announce the Samsung Galaxy S III at this month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and at the same time, rumors hit the Interweb that Samsung might launch a Galaxy S II refresh called the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus. At least that's what a recent benchmark was suggesting. According to that, the Galaxy S II Plus will feature the same WVGA touchscreen like the Galaxy S II (display technology unknown), but it's expected that the S II Plus comes with a faster CPU at 1.5 GHz. Posted by Arne Hess - at 11:30 CET under 04 - Android News

For some reasons, Google Docs for Android wasn't too much in Google's focus so far and it was somewhat loveless designed and featured. The Google Docs web app counterpart nevertheless allowed to create, edit, upload and share your documents with the web app. Now, Google has released an update which comes with some handy features like making any file available offline for view and access while not connected as well as managing offline content, including seeing what's out of date. Automatic syncing of offline content keeps docs up-to-date while on WiFi and staring and renaming files is now possible offline as well. Last but not least, Google mentions and improved reading experience of Google documents while on a tablet.

LEAK: HTC Ville appeared briefly on YouTube - confirmed its existence
Posted by Arne Hess - at 18:05 CET under 04 - Android News

One of HTC's Mobile World Congress phones, the HTC Ville, had a short presence on YouTube, earlier this afternoon but as expected, the video was taken down later. However, it indeed confirmed that it will look like the previously leaked rendering bellow. Since the video only showed the IMEI number of the prototype and phone number of the leaker, instead of technical information, the specs are still rumors. It's mostly confirmed, that the HTC Ville will come with Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC's own UI flavor of HTC Sense, which looked different to any other Sense versions we've seen before. Other specs like the 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU, the 4.3" Super AMOLED qHD and the lack of NFC are still rumors.
