Well, during the past days, we have heard many speculations and rumors, if LG might release a Prada phone running Windows Mobile and I can definitely say the LG Windows Mobile device isn't using the Prada design at all.
First of all, LG comment that it's not planning to run Windows Mobile on the Prade phone and also I got the confirmation from other sources, that LG's (to be announced) Windows Mobile device will looks different.
And here we go with just another proof, that the LG Windows Mobile device isn't using the Prada phone platform at all. As you can see bellow, LG is showing a PDA phone on its booth in Barcelona which is running Windows Mobile 6 indeed. Nevertheless, the device body is hidden by a black plastic cover:

If you check the right photo above, you can even see that, under that cover, the device seems to be done already but for which reason ever, LG decided not to unmask it here at the 3GSM World Congress but hiding the actual design.

Nevertheless, as you can see in the comparison bellow, the LG Prada isn't featuring a D-Pad/joystick but the unknown Windows Mobile prototype has one:

Anyway, LG declined to comment on why the Windows Mobile device is masked with an extra cover. Also, LG hasn't given any further information about the release date of its latest Windows Mobile 6 device.

Cheers ~ Arne
