Following Motorola's announcements from the 3GSM World Congress back in February, the company announced its UMTS/HSDPA version of the MOTO Q again and renamed the also earlier announced MOTO Q  q gsm.
The previously known MOTO Q q gsm (see the::unwired's hands-on here) is now called MOTO Q 8, and basically it's the GSM version of the original award-winning CDMA-based MOTO Q.
The MOTO Q 9 (which was also called MOTO Q 9h) is Motorola's UMTS/HSDPA version of the device above (see the::unwired's hands-on here) and based on Windows Mobile 6. The inbuilt HSDPA/UMTS engine allows downloads up to 3.6Mbps.

As unveiled earlier as well, the Motorola MOTO Q 9 will be available in Italy this week. Motorola hasn't given further information of an expected release date of the MOTO Q 8.

Cheers ~ Arne
