Not that I understand too much but SoftBank Japan, the carrier previously known as Vodafone Japan, recently presented its "Summer Collection" of mobile phones. Beside many standard and feature phones, SoftBank also announced the expected launch of two new Windows Mobile 6 smartphones: the SoftBank X01T (better known as Toshiba G900) Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphone and the SoftBank X02HT (better known as HTC Cavalier) Windows Mobile 6 Standard Smartphone. The X01T comes in stylish iPod kind of white while the X02HT features a fresh looking orange housing as well as it will be available in black and white:

While the X01T seems to replace SoftBank's last year's launched 3G Pocket PC Phone Edition, the X01HT (aka HTC Hermes), the X02HT is SoftBank's first Windows Mobile Standard smartphone.

The launch of the SoftBank X02HT is expected for late July. The SoftBank X01T should be available from mid August. Prices weren't given today.

Cheers ~ Arne
