Do you remember the Dell Looking Glass Android Tablet? No? Well, no wonder - first information hit the Internet in April last year and since then we haven't heard anything anymore about Dell's 7" Android Tablet. However, the Global Certification Forum (GCF) has just approved a "Dell Looking Glass" and therefore it seems that the project isn't dead but was just postponed. According to the GCF, the "new" Looking Glass will support quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as quadband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 850/1700/1900/2100 MHz. As always, the GCF hasn't given any further information but according to earlier information, the Looking Glass could also featre WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0

Also it was said that the Looking Glass was expected to features an nVidia T20 CPU and a 7" TFT WVGA touchscreen.

There is yet no release date given but as always, there's a good chance that the Dell Looking Glass might hit a store near you anytime soon, now after it was approved and certified by the GCF. Nevertheless, it's most likely that Dell won't release it with the much outdated Android 2.1 anymore but with something newer. Honeycomb, anyone?
Cheers ~ Arne
