APPROVAL: GCF approves the Dell M01M001 - Android Smartphone ahead?

No, I have absolutely no idea which Dell smartphone (or equipment) the Global Certification Forum recently approved but Dell just received an approval for its "M01M001" (or maybe M01 and/or M001). As always, the GCF isn't spilling any beans about the device itself but we now know that the Dell M01M001 features quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at the European/Asian 900/2100 MHz bands so this isn't anything American but something we might see soon in Europe and/or Asia. Other than the supported bands, the GCF also confirmed the support of MMS so it's unlikely that the M01M001 is just a Netbook or anything similar.

Interesting enough, the Dell M01M001 is also completely unknown for Google & Co.

Cheers ~ Arne
