Back in February, Toshiba announced the TG02 and K01 smartphones which followed last year's launched TG01. And while all three Windows Phones were powered by Windows Mobile 6.5, the Global Certification Forum has just approved the Toshiba TG03 which we saw on a 2009 leaked roadmap already. However, according to that roadmap, the initial TG03 was expected to be launched anytime late 2009. Nevertheless, since it never made it to the market, Toshiba might have changed its plans and will launch it now with Windows Phone 7 instead? At least the GCF just approved it with quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 800/850/2100 MHz!

Guessing would be easier if Toshiba would have called it TG07 but nevertheless, since many expected upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphones are currently approved by the GCF there might be a real chance that Toshiba will also join Microsoft's latest party. However, so far Toshiba wasn't named to be a Windows Phone 7 launch partner at all! Neither at the Mobile World Congress nor anytime later so at this point it's just a rumor that Toshiba might also launch a Windows Phone 7 smartphone.
