No
day without new Nexus
One news and today it's the Global Certification Forum which followed the
FCC by certifying the Nexus One
Android smartphone
which is indeed manufactured by
HTC. The Nexus One (or
HTC Bravo/HTC
Passion) is confirmed to feature quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as triband
UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/1700/2100 MHz (UTRA FDDVIII/FDDIV/FDDI). And it's indeed
quite interesting that the so called
Gphone, which is
said to be directly distributed by
Google - without any
carrier relations, is only supporting
T-Mobile US'
UMTS band while AT&T's
UMTS bands aren't supported at all but instead Europe's and Asia's UMTS bands
are supported:

At the moment, a Nexus One launch by Google is rumored for early 2010 while a
European HTC Bravo
launch is expected for April 2010.
