While HTC is still too shy to talk about its next Windows Mobile best seller, the HTC TyTN II aka HTC Kaiser, US reseller MobilePlanet doesn't wants to hide it anymore.
The HTC TyTN II features Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Professional and is the latest QWERTY-keyboard device from HTC. With its compact size and 240 x 320 display (only - unfortunately), it has the technical specifications to be a worthy successor to the HTC TyTN.

Featuring quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and triband UMTS/HSDPA for high speed Internet access as well as Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi b/g, the HTC TyTN II connects you virtually to any available wireless network. In addition it features assisted GPS, a 3 megapixel camera, and a microSD card expansion slot.

While MobilePlanet hasn't announced a release date yet, it's now available for pre-order and will retail at launch for US$ 944.95. Furthermore, the HTC TyTN II is listed for pre-order from Expansys Brasil, Expansys Canada, Expansys China, Expansys Japan, Expansys Korea and Expansys Mexico but so far, not a single European Expansys shop lists it for pre-order.

Really, I hate HTC for holding back the Kaiser for so long now. Can you please launch it now? Since I read about it first time it was clear that I want to upgrade from my Wizard to this device but when?

What happened to the HSUPA? Also, the GPS is dedicated not assisted I believe.

HSUPA was always rumored but never officially confirmed (and it seems to be "confirmed" that it isn't part of the Kaiser as we know it today). Also T-Mobile Germany, which is going to launch HSUPA (and most likely the T-Mobile Vario III) end of this week, never said that the Kaiser will support its new HSUPA feature.
GPS works stand-alone and assisted. But keep in mind it's not a SiRF chip but a Qualcomm MSM7200 chip.

In the Netherlands several internet shops list the TyTN II as pre-order. Price vary from EUR 650 - EUR 700 and choice is for Dutch and WWE devices. My TyTN II will arrive end of next week which has been confirmed by the importer Dangaard to BelCompany.

MobilePlanet now lists the price as $799.99, same as I've seen at other online vendors such as Elite Electronix.  Over at HowardForums, MadMonkeyBoy (one of their favorite vendors) has suggested that he'll have them in the 3rd week of September for about $749.
