Mid last month I wrote about fring's new and upcoming fringAPI and the first API-based extensions hit the Web, sorry - fring now. The API and fringAdd-on are all about adding more value to fringsters; by opening up the fring platform and enabling 3rd party developers to bring almost any web services to mobile phones, fring wants to enrich fringsters internet experience and adding value to the fring community . The first flavors of fringAdd-ons are around social networking, videos and E-Mail notifications, as you can see in the screenshots below:

From now, fring users can get Google Gmail notifications, vTap videos, interact with Facebook and Orkut buddies, with more to come.
fringAdd-ons are available for fring on Sony Ericsson UIQ smartphones, Windows Mobile Professional and Standard smartphones and Nokia S60 smartphone but please keep in mind that you'll need one fring's latest versions:

  • Series 60: v3.35
  • Windows Mobile: v3.24
  • UIQ: v3.30

To get on with fringAdd-ons, restart fring and click Options –> Settings– > manage add-ons and select the ones you want and your favorite apps will be always-on and always mobile via fring.

Cheers ~ Arne

Just posted the supported version numbers and according the info I've just received from fring, v3.24 is the supported Windows Mobile version so it makes me wonder that you don't see it.
