AVAILABLE: O2 Germany launched the Xda III aka HTC Blue Angel

After the successful launch of the O2 Xda IIs in UK and Asia, also O2 Germany finally released their German version (including the German Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition and the German QWERTZ-keyboard) of the HTC Blue Angel as O2 Xda III (aka T-Mobile MDA III and i-mate PDA2K).
Also important to remember is the fact, that O2 Germany's Xda III exclude the camera (unlike the UK version or the i-mate PDA2K which includes a VGA camera) and there are no plans to release a camera-version later.

You may remember the ROM update announcement of O2 UK from yesterday and I can confirm that the major improvements are already part of the German Xda III, including Bluetooth build 3500 as well as a newer radio stack (1.10.00):

If you are using Genion with home- and cityzone indication you will notice (if you previously used the Xda or Xda II) that O2 changed the way how the home- and cityzone is indicated. Now it is part of the "Phone"-bubble which also shows you the network name:

Personally I like this way of home- and cityzone indication way more then it was indicated before.

The Xda III is available from now through O2 Germany's online shop (as well as retail) for around 399,95 - 459,95 Euro including a subscription.

Cheers ~ Arne

I like the homezone integration, way better then before where it occupied a lot of start-bar space!
