And the last one for today. After talking about T-Mobile Germany and Orange UK, this item is about Vodafone Germany and the latest HTC Hermes developments over there. From now, the HTC Hermes is available as Vodafone VPA compact III from Vodafone Germany and usually ships - according to Vodafone - within 48 hours.
Vodafone has decided to use the Herm200 ID which is the same as used by HTC for their TyTN.
With a contract, it retails for 369,49 Euro - 449,50 Euro (depending on the plan you take); without a contract it is on sale for heavy 899,50 Euro:

Please note, that the device comes with a German user interface including a German keyboard layout. Nevertheless, it looks like Vodafone UK is also close to release their version of the HTC Hermes, at least the first review of the UK version can be found at 4WinMobile. However, the UK name seems to be "Vodafone 1605 VPA compact III".

Cheers ~ Arne

Really? I've checked the Vodafone website yesterday - before I've posted this article as well as today and haven't found it online anywhere. Do you have a link?

899 euro? Rather steep. The TyTN retails at 699 euros in the Netherlands.
