Like last year, also this year the Pocket PC magazine will present the Best Pocket PC Product Awards at the October 21-24 Pocket PC Summit at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California. Results will be published in the January 2003 issue of Pocket PC magazine.

Pocket PC magazine’s Nitin Gupta and the Board of Pocket PC Experts have completed the selection of the Nominations for the 2002 Awards. The nominees were chosen as the best from the Encyclopedia of Software and Accessories database (For a product to have been nominated, it must have been released by July 2002).

The 2002 nominations will be listed and described in the 2003 Pocket PC magazine Buyers Guide, which will be sent to subscribers and displayed on newsstands mid-September 2002.

All Pocket PC users owe a huge debt to the Board of Pocket PC Experts from throughout the world, who has volunteered their time to judge and to select winners for each software category. These experts are top Pocket PC webmasters, authors of Pocket PC books, Pocket PC magazine contributors, and Microsoft Pocket PC MVPs.

Like last year also this year I’m proud to be part of the Board of Experts and I will vote for the following categories:

  • Browsers and Web Utilities
  • Chat and Messaging
  • News Readers
  • Networking
  • Remote Control
  • Remote Host Control

As you can see, I’m voting for wireless related topics for sure and currently I’m in the test phase to get a complete overview and clue about the software.

Get the full list of Nominations here and the list of Boards of Experts here!

Cheers ~ Arne

No real WiFi and Bluetooth products?

I skipped the avantgo sync and turned to the new (updated) xtndconnect pc sync with it multi-vendor support list. At work we use the xtndconnect server (not on the list? it's the best server based synchronization product i came across.....i have used the puma and msft server products) with it cross platform support: palm, pocketpc, rim, symbian, vote ;o) goes to XTND.

Keep up the good work Arne.
