COMPATIBILITY: Which accessories and software continues to work with the Voyager

As you can read in my previous article, currently I'm playing with the HTC Voyager which will becomes available as PPCW.Net i-Mate Smartphone2 soon (also known as Orange SPV E200) and while I'm continue to play with it most important for me is to test which previous i-Mate Smartphone (aka Orange SPV E100/Smart Amazing Phone) accessories will continue to work with the latest HTC Smartphone and here is a list what I can confirm so far:

ElekSen Soft Keyboard
Because I'm a messaging junkie (SMS, MMS, E-Mail MSN Messenger) this is one of the most important accessories for me and maybe you have also read on other sites that the keyboard (which was previously designed for the Orange SPV and SPV E100 (both Smartphone 2002 devices)) isn't working with the Voyager anymore. Well, that's simply false because it works with the driver you can get from PPCW.Net! :-)

That's fantastic because with the multiple E-Mail account support now the Smartphone becomes a serious communication device! :-)

ORA Original Car Kit for Orange SPV
Basically it works with the HTC Voyager as well and it holds and charges the phone and switch to handsfree speaking but unfortunately the antenna plug on the backside of the phone was moved some millimeters only which means you can't close the car kit anymore and also the Voyager isn't connected with an external antenna anymore. Real bad news if you bought a car kit as well because you will need a new one (which will be better anyway as I've already heard ;-))

BoxWave miniSync for Orange SPV Smartphone 2002
If you need a solution to easily sync and charge your mobile devices such as Pocket PCs or Smartphones, I always recommend Boxwave's miniSync and as before with the xda version which worked with the Orange SPV also the Orange SPV version and therefore xda version works with the Voyager. :-)

Software
I've already added a thread to the PPCW.Net Forum  where I add working/non-working software. So far every program I've tried and installed, doesn't matter if certified or not (keep in mind that the PPCW.Net i-Mate Smartphone2 will be certification free like the version before) installed without any problems and also launching and running each program is possible so far. But better track the Forum thread to stay up-to-date.

So far so good and everything seems to be pretty promising so far! :-D I'm continuing with the tests now!

Cheers ~ Arne
