Doesn't matter how you call it (Motorola MOTO Q9, MOTO Q9h or Motorola Norman), AT&T will call it the MOTO Q Global - and is going to launch this high-performance Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone soon.
While the original MOTO Q9h was launched during the 3GSM World Congress back in February, AT&T's MOTO Q Global received a kind of feature update since AT&T says that it features integrated GPS, and quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA at 850/1900 MHz.

With a full QWERTY keyboard and electro-luminescent keys, the versatile, feature-rich MOTO Q Global combines powerful business productivity with applications like Windows Mobile 6 with multimedia entertainment in one sleek device. There is no compromise with the MOTO Q Global. It's packed with robust tools including stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, 2.0 megapixel camera, high-speed Internet connections and optional microSD card supporting up to 32 GB. Enjoy the capability to view and edit Microsoft Office documents from over 135 countries in the world.

Key features and benefits

  • Windows Mobile 6 Standard optimized for Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2007
  • Quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE; UMTS/HSDPA 850 and 1900
  • Xpress Mail, Good Mobile Messaging, Microsoft Direct Push, Blackberry Connect (available Fall 2007), and text messaging, instant messaging, and multimedia messaging
  • Integrated GPS
  • Thin QWERTY device with a full, ergonomic keyboard
  • Large, high-resolution display (320 x 240 pixels)

A release date wasn't given yet but the promotion page is up and running; so it cannot take too long anymore.

Cheers ~ Arne
