CONFIRMED: Global Certification Forum approves the Samsung GT-I5700 Galaxy Lite

Following earlier rumors and leaked photos and videos of the so called Samsung "Galaxy Lite" or "I5700" - Samsung's expected 2nd Android smartphone - the Global Certification Forum just approved the Samsung I5700 and therefore confirmed some features. According to the GCF, the Galaxy Lite is featuring quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 2100 and 900 MHz which makes it - sorry North America - another European and Asian Android smartphone again, without support for any North American UMTS radio frequency.

Anyway, while the GCF has proved and confirmed the GT-I5700 Galaxy Lite existence, it's yet completely unknown when Samsung will launch its next Android smartphone.

Cheers ~ Arne
