While we have yet no confirmation that the Twitter client bellow is indeed an official one from Twitter itself - it definitely looks like that it either comes from Twitter or was developed by Microsoft with Twitter's agreement. In a Windows Phone Developer Blog posting, Microsoft's Brandon Watson unveiled today, that Windows Phone Developer Tools Are final now. However, apart from announcing the final release of Microsoft's Windows Phone Developer tools, Watson unveiled quite a bit of further information. According to him, some of the biggest names in apps and games are working to bring the right mix of high quality content to Windows Phone 7.
"We've been working closely with these companies to ensure that customers find quality across the categories of apps and games about which they care. [...] I provided a few examples that demonstrate what's possible on our platform by showing near final apps for Twitter, Netflix, OpenTable, Flixster and Travelocity for the first time anywhere."
So here we go - Microsoft confirms that Twitter has worked with Microsoft to bring Twitter to Windows Phone 7.
That's still not a proof that Twitter will be pre-installed on Windows Phone nor is it yet known how deep Twitter will integrates into the Windows Phone 7 hub but at least it's an official confirmation of the 2nd Twitter client, after Seesmic unveiled its Windows Phone 7 version earlier today as well.
Cheers ~ Arne
