Okay guys, if you don't live in the UK and a Windows Mobile 6 upgraded Samsung SGH-i600 isn't anything for you I got further good news for you today: Beside Vodafone UK, also other Vodafone subsidiaries across Europe plans to launch the recently unveiled Samsung SGH-i620 Windows Mobile 6 Standard Smartphone! It's not yet confirmed which one exactly but it's more then just Vodafone UK!
The SGH-i620 is a kind of upgraded Samsung SGH-600 Windows Mobile Smartphone, sporting Windows Mobile 6 Standard and a unique slide design while keeping the QWERTY keyboard:

Furthermore, the i620 is confirmed to sport triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and singleband UMTS/HSDPA as well as Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and WiFi b/g.
Unlike the i600, which was sporting a 1.3 megapixel camera only, the i620 is sporting a 2.0 megapixel camera in addition to its front-facing video-telephony cam (which the i600 has as well).
A price wasn't given today but a release can be expected in August/September time frame (looks like we are talking about IFA time-frame again).

A review should follow hopefully soon, stay tuned for more information!

Cheers ~ Arne

But I think Vodafone could maybe hold an exclusive for some time?
I remember there's a video in youtube showing it for real:

It seems to have touch sensitive keys

Yeah, while I hadn't had the i620 in my hands yet, on the photos and video it looks like - similar to the LG Chocolate.
I'm really looking forward the release since it seems to be a promising upgrade to the i600. However, since I'm doing so much messaging, SMS, MMS and mobile blogging, I think I will stay with the i600 anyway (which is - so far - the best Windows Mobile Smartphone I ever had). smile

looking forward this device to replace my Nokia. When will you review it?
Because of WM5 the Toshiba G500 isn't an option for me, but the I620 is!!!
