CONFORMITY: HTC Tornado made it to the FCC

The earlier announced HTC Tornado (announced as Qtek 8300) passed the FCC tests. The version that was tested by the FCC had the WiFi module includes which doesn't mean that carriers will release the Wi-Fi enabled version but HTC just want to make sure to have approved all options.
Another thing that Kris over at Smartphone Thoughts found out by reading through the documents is that this Smartphone will most likely be branded in the US as model "ST22A". It is not known who the vendor is but Kris guesses Audiovox.

The tests related information can be accessed by visiting the FCC search page, NM8 is the grantee code and TND is the product code. As with the past devices, HTC has requested confidentiality on those documents till September 30th 2005 which might be the official release date of the Tornado.

Cheers ~ Arne
