Running Voice GSM 2.5 is the most complete and user friendly GSM/GPRS Communicator for the Pocket PC platform, providing the Pocket PC device with GSM voice, SMS and advanced data capabilities.

Running Voice GSM supports Pocket PC 2002 devices, most relevant GSM devices (Bluetooth phones and PC Cards), most Bluetooth devices and general IrDA communication.

The objective of Running Voice is to offer users the next generation of mobile communication, creating value by combining mobility with Internet and data access in new intuitive ways. Therefore the product offers new tools and services integrated with mobile telephony, including smart integration with Internet.

Main new features found in Running Voice GSM 2.5 are:

  • Data speed monitor and graph
  • Data speed icon in the Navigation bar
  • Support for EMS rich text (font size, bold, italic, underscore, etc.)
  • Enhanced message settings (Unicode, validity time, delivery report, etc.)
  • SMS Outlook integration (send messages from Outlook Contacts)
  • Support for export of SMS messages to a separate file
  • A third virtual COM port in Flexport for seamless usage of additional communication applications
  • Enhanced support for navigation with hardware buttons
  • Visualization of call direction in the Voicebox

Updated your RV GSM 2.x version to Running Voice GSM 2.5:
Previous Running Voice GSM 2.x owners are able to download a free upgrade patch from Pocket Presence's web site.

Running Voice 2.5 is available from PocketGear for US$ 34.00. Unfortunately a trial isn't available but like all versions before I've also tested this version before it was released and I didn't found any problems! I still love Running Voice and it is the must have application for all non Phone Edition Pocket PCs!

Cheers ~ Arne

hi, i just got a copy of running voice 2.5, ive tried calling and it works... sure it sends the phone a number to dial and the phone dials... i was wondering, is there anyway i could use my ipaq as the phone(where i could speak and listen, using the speaker & mic of the ipaq), while the phone itself simply serves as a connection between the telecom company n my ipaq? as well as SMS?

and btw... i seem to have a hard time configuring my SMS... and is the connection always supposed to be passive? is there anyway i could make it active all the time? o yeah, i'm using an IPAQ 5450 connected via bluetooth, thks in advance! smile
